Sifted out a substantial amount of lovely loose compost. This was all to put in the tomatoes.

The pease and chives continue to thrive. I mulched generously with crushed eggshells, added the climbing cages, and encouraged them to rise up joyously.

The parsley is going nuts this year. The hen&chickens are looking rather excellent as well.

Got some more catnip for the porch, as well as a few marigolds. And a small thyme plant to jumpstart the verge growth. The seeds are so far very shy, while the old weeds are trying to make themselves at home, despite me kicking them out repeatedly. Buckwheat is arriving nicely, but not as thickly as I'd hoped. It is very early, yet, despite how it feels. Not even really time to plant, a week early. Not that I worry about frost this week.
I did get the dishes running. Cleaned half the counter. Serious house cleaning to start tomorrow.

Glad to see that you're feeling better, and that the garden is bursting into life. I've been away for just two days and can't quite believe the sprouting that's gone on here.
RR,
Nothing happens for so long, then this explosion of green. Quite miraculous.
I'm glad you're feeling better to make better use of your week off.
the garden is going well-and gardening helps body and soul stay healthy
Ooh coffee grounds! I'd forgotten about them for compost. I hope your tomato plants take off and richly fulfill the hope of their wire supports.
