LOL! WONDERFUL!!! So fun, this feels like a present! I will come back and spend time rummaging---I'm on my way to work this New Year's day. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
And speaking of Star Trek, Marz bought the 5 issues of the original Harlan Ellison story for "City on the Edge of Forever" as each one came out this year!
I have 2 Wallace & Gromit magnets on my fridge. Fun!
D's the main Le Carre guy, although I've come to read him nearly as much. I think I know who Karla was.
We took a trip out there, two actually. And have a friend who lives in Portland. We love Astoria, and if not for the flight, would visit again in a heartbeat. Gorgeous part of the earth. (March, 2009)

Fresca,
You are welcome, yes, it was intended as such.
Aaargh! I just wrote this huge long comment but I wasn't signed and somewhere in signing in, I lost it!
Damn!
So... a shorter version of what I said was...
I like John Le Carré too, though not most other mysteries or spy stories; I did greatly enjoy the BBC version of Harriet Vane (played by Harriet Walter);
LOVE Amphigorey and all things Gorey--especially "The Doubtful Guest"---have you seen the webcomic version of Star Trek's "Trouble with Tribbles" episode if it were done by Gorey?

P.S. Marz immediately noticed you have a guide to Oregon, where she is from. Is there a story behind that?
