Rather quiet for a firework holiday last night. A few booms from what were likely official fireworks. A small number of closer ones. Very subdued.
Of course, the big firework holiday here is Pioneer Day, on the 24th.

The fireworks are going to be staggered in my area between the two weekends. My animals will not be happy.

Oh, that does suck. We will have a lot more on the 24th, and the smoke will stay around for weeks.

I rather like leaving a foot out, but that's just me.
I tend to leave both feet out - if we are referring to what we do with our own feet as we sleep.
With Fête National and then Canada Day always exactly a week apart, there are fireworks nearby on both occasions. In my neighbourhood there are zero instances of non-official fireworks.
