"Moby, it's cold. Don't you want to come in?"
He looked at me, considered, agreed, started in. By the time he hit the sidewalk he was hurrying. And trying to shake all his paws at the same time. Which was amusing, since it isn't really feasible to shake both back paws at the same time while hurrying. Once in, I nudged Eleanor off the heating pad, and turned it up. Moby took over once he was sure it was available, and warmed up his butt and paws.

"Man, that was cold."
Made more turkey soup for cats today.
Watching The Rookies, which is interesting. At least from a social cultural standpoint. Still in the era of Grande Theme Songs. Not a bad show, not at all, but very much of it's time. Applicable to now, though. Not much progress made, really. So earnest, could have used a dash of humor.

For the first time this winter season, we have sleety, almost-snowish stuff shooting down from a grey sky. It'll be in the 30's here (quite cold for ol' delicate me who grew up in Frankfurt a/M and spent many winters in souther Japan). What I wouldn't give for a hot spring right about now. So I understand Moby. A saunter in the cold and then a warmth Tuches and paws.
Have a good Rutsch into the new year! [I wish there'd be a fitting phrase in English for this ...]
Our cat runs out every few days no matter the weather to find a few dried out blades of grass to chew. Last time she followed this by spitting up on the stoop instead of in the living room. Win-win!
30s feels much more do-able than 20s to me this winter. Getting warm again is a delicious sensation.
Lovely little vignette of Moby in the snow.
Meant to thank you for recommending 'Cold Fever', looks good and I've got it on order.
Happy New Year to you all there.
Rou,
You might like Cold Fever as well.
Rutsch, looked it up, Guten Rutsche to you! I am starting to want a day in a hot deep Japanese bath very much indeed.
Nimble,
If he can find grass, same here. Sometimes he eats grass and horks outside, sometimes inside. sigh.
Lucy,
I so wanted to visit Iceland when we were in Boston. My work schedule sucked so badly, though, we never made it. One regret, along with a sailing trip along the coast.
