Box

Happy Box Day!

“I can’t believe it’s that time of year already.”

“You mean the holidays?”

“Well, I call it box season, but yeah.”

We have vowed to get out today. Despite it being only 10˚F, -12C.

Zip up my parka, more like. Wear my long johns and mittens, too. Although I prefer really cold days, the worst is 40˚F and wet with wind - cuts right through. Respectable cold stands outside you, only nodding with warning, so long as you have sufficient layers.

Z, you're stronger than I am. It's merely raining here and yet, I'm still in my PJ's ... and there are leftovers ... and although I am certain I won't melt, it's still raining. Bundle up ... maybe a sip of Brandy before you venture out into all that white stuff ...

Rou,
Grew up in Detroit. Three years in Boston without a car. I have everything I need for the cold. I'll still take 10˚F over a cold rainy day. The snow is pretty much off sidewalks anyway. Ice patches here and there.

Finally we have shovelable snow today-just enough puffy white stuff to brighten up the short, gray day. Very welcome.

I love cats in boxes. Also in bags---so funny to watch.
Wishing much comfort and joy to you and yours. XO Fresca

Yes, it is -9C here today, but very nice. I always do better in the -5 to -15C range... in the -5 to +5 range is where I have trouble.

First major snowfall of the season tomorrow after having our first minor one Christmas eve. Expecting 25-35cm's when it is all done Wednesday morning.
