Bigger

Sitting by the front window reading, cup of tea on the sill. Young woman with a stroller walking by, stops, walks back. Gets out her camera, so I do the same.

Moby jumped up on the table, I still had the camera out, so.

Then I realized there was more going on.

And kept watching.

Car is oiled and tuned. Mechanic laughed when I told him about being pushed by the dealer to get a list of maintenance when we got the recall stuff done. He did a tune up, which ran about $10, flushed and checked. They are a national chain*, but they act like an honest independent shop. They treat me well every time, never shove, and so I always go back.

Mom with camera walked back past, gazing at my garden with rocks in.

*Not an ad, just feel they deserve a wave.

The garage I use is pretty good, an independent. What makes it great for me is the convenience. The garage is adjacent to the train station where I get on to go to work. So I can drive the car in the AM and leave it with them, walk to the train, and at the end do the reverse.

There's nothing in my front yard that someone would stop to photograph.

Phil,
This garage is not terribly convenient for me, but it's not too far. I do have to wait there, with nowhere else to go.

The cairns are apparently very popular. Out with Moby for maybe 20 min, two people stopped to tell me how much they liked them.

a good garage is worth traveling to...mine talks to ME about MY car.....unlike others who talked to my man, even when I was paying!!!

I like it that people like such simple things as balancing rocks.

We saw these all along the Camino as we walked across Spain, too---seems to be a human impulse to set rocks on rocks...

I loved spending a few moments entering into contact with the scenario being played out in your home. Clearly, there is something beautiful that attracted the attention of at least one passer-by. And many more might there be of which you are unaware?

gz,
Yeah, not had any issue with that at this place. There are women working there as mechanics, so I have to assume that helps.

Fresca,
Like building snowmen. Something deep in our genetics.

Tom,
I like to sit by the window to watch people, and yes, a good number gaze, point, occasionally stop. The garden isn't just for me, certainly.
