until the cat picked us, we were thinking of getting a black cat - apparently they are least likely to get adopted. used to be because of superstitions but these days? instagram apparently. according to a lady at an animal shelter, people don't like to adopt black cats because "they aren't photogenic". hearing that made me lose a little bit more respect for the human race. plus i thought it was dead wrong - black cats are highly photogenic but in their own peculiar way. case in point: zeppo.

They do take a bit more work and practice to get a good photo. Totally worth it. But you have to bow to the choices of the cat in question.
