my purse is roughly ten times the size of yours and carries...what the hell does it carry? a tide-to-go (because i cannot be trusted to not get red wine all over myself, nor not to drink red wine), lipgloss, giant ring of keys, (too) large wallet, a monkey-shaped tin full of painkillers, kleenex, hand sanitizer, floss, bus tickets, a little book in which i write down the titles of books i already own so that discoveries in second hand shops don't result in doubles, my favourite pen, a small calendar, a foldable fabric shopping bag and i think that's it. not much, is it?

I don't carry much; usually just a few coins.
Now I can see that there is a use for those single earrings. Take a beautiful photo.
There's all sorts of goodies in my man bag - in particular: my diary, a book, a bottle of hand sanitizer, the bus timetable and something to eat.
