Procedural

Not so much as bad haiku yesterday. One of those days of snuggling down and barely peeping out. Watching A Touch Of Frost, via netflicks, since it's never been shown over here. It kept coming up on IMDB credits for pretty much every British actor, so we had to try and find it. It's a bit like Da Vinci's Inquest, with a bit of Columbo, a charming bit of police procedural, without being as silly as Midsomer Murders, nor as grim as Homicide. Yes, I do watch too much tv.

I wasn't going to say anything about that...

Easy for me to say - he who has no TV subscription whatsoever.

Have you come across 'Wycliffe'? We're on a run of digital channel repeats, it's very compelling, quite understated, plots sometimes far-fetched but in other ways realistic, good characters who grow on you. and it shows a part of Britain - Cornwall - which is often rendered chocolate box pretty in a much harsher but actually more beautiful light.

I'm not a great David Jason fan, so Frost doesn't appeal too much.

Phil,
A lifelong habit, I'm afraid.

Lucy,
I've never known David Jason, except as Rincewind in Color of Magic, and Albert in Hogfather. Haven't seen any of his other work over here. He's rather good in this one, I think.
