Gazes

Gazing out at the River. Having grown up with the Detroit River, an interlake connector, this wide, shipful waterway appealed greatly.

Just a drifted bit of wood.

Abandoned fortifications for Fort Stevens, last used during WWII. Never attacked anyone.

Seal lions. Very loud sunbathers.

Insha'allah.

My street is perpendicular to the St. Lawrence river, my house is about a block up from the coast.

I go down periodically to take advantage of the distant horizon, well, more distant than what I am used to.

A lovely sense of calm - but perhaps not if you're near the sea-lions!
