How beautiful! The wirework is elegant and the lapis is a good example of the stone. (Looks great on you finger, too.)

Can't resist lapis blue. Such a beautiful name too, lapis lazuli.

Beautiful. Grandpa made some rings using lapis lazuli.
Is it mined anywhere other than Afghanistan?

Crow,
I love the swirl. It makes me happy.

Nimble,
Agreed. And it's not showy.

gz,
This is likely from California,

From wikipedia: In addition to the Afghan deposits, lapis is also extracted in the Andes (near Ovalle, Chile); and to the west of Lake Baikal in Siberia, Russia, at the Tultui Lazurite deposit. It is mined in smaller amounts in Angola, Argentina, Burma, Pakistan, Canada, Italy, India, and in the United States in California and Colorado.

Lapis has always been a favourite in my family. That setting is unique and fits you well, Z! Great find!

Rou,

And it's nice to meet the artist who created it, too.
