Cat, And as a former midwesterner, you know it does help. Not enough, but 100˚F at 90% humidity is beyond brutal. At 10% humidity (36dewpoint) it's harsh but tolerable. It's all about the dew point.
S&S, The sunflowers do help, no doubt about it. They absorb heat and keep the house cooler. And they do make funny faces.

Yes, it is rather warm but it's bright, sunny and cheerful. I love it!!
