Mealy

Two hour cycles of constant hot/cold flashes in the middle of last night. Woke about 0530, shifted, Eleanor walked up, sat on my chest and laid a paw on my face. I drifted off until the chime, she touched my face again, decided I was there until the second chime. When that came, she touched my face again, as if to say, "Ok, get up now," and shifted off my chest. Cooperative cats, who knew?

Winds whooshed through last night, gusty and fierce in places. Colder today, but not as much as predicted, and no precipitation.

Watching some Dr. Lucy Worsley, Moby snuggled in on my lap and crashed. Eleanor walked over my knees several times, sat on D, jumped off. Eventually Moby decided to notice and grumbled and hopped off in a huff. Still, it took a long time for the crankiness to surface. And he's back in the same spot on the sofa, quite unperturbed.

My cat has taken to sleeping on my bed between my legs. I think he finds that being comforted on both sides of him is helpful.
