I am the sort of person who
Never comes late for anything.
Never lies for personal gain or even protection.
Never wears makeup.
Never mocks anyone to their face.
I have, however,
Left early.
Lied to avoid conflict.
Pretended illness.
Torn pretentious people to shreds in private.
I would prefer
To be just on time and enjoy staying to the end.
To never lie at all, and once in a while blurt out embarrassing truths - but people just laugh.
To be healthy and comfortable in whatever I'm in.
To be easy going and thick skinned and tough minded.

I often leave early, too.
I think you forgot to mention your bravery.
Bravery, yes.
And resilience, too.
Don't wish too hard. You may get what you wish for and end up a completely different person. Perhaps better, perhaps wuss but it would require a different blog.
your thick-skinned comment reminded me of my own mantra that has done me well:
be sensitive to people's sensitivities and be insensitive to people's insensitivities.
