The Dutch House at 20 Netherland Rd, Brookline. On the National Historic Register. We just happened upon it. Seems it was once a Pub, 1793(?) Now a private home.
Stumbling upon history.
I think I have moving on the brain, and it's a couple of months to go.

Thanks for this, Zhoen. "Stumbling upon" places and buildings (and people) is the best sort of sightseeing - the element of surprise and wonder adds so much to the whole experience.
I like the way buildings and other things accumulate histories. Gather stories. Evolve. Develop personalities, I suppose.
I like the way stumbling upon places alters expectations and challenges assumptions.
And the stories...
Hi, my name is PJ and I'm working with WTTW Channel 11 In chicago. We would love to use your images in a documentary about the Dutch House that we are currently working on. If you are interested, please email me back at PJRandhawa@wttw.com. Thanks.
Definitely not a pub in 1793 as it was built in Chicago in 1893 for the World's Columbian Exposition and moved to Brookline the next year by Charles B. Appleton to be his home.
shsilver,
Thank you! I always wondered about that place, so very weird. Do you have a reference for that? I'd love to find better info.
