Fatigue

It's been a rough week. Dealing with a lot of fatigue. Hand improving, but painfully. I dare not want another month off, the universe might say ok and break another bone as payment.

Doing ok, not getting much done.

it is hard to get back into the old routine.
perhaps a time for a different routine?

gz,
I've cut everything down to absolute necessity. The "old routine" is my work schedule, not negotiable. I need the paycheck. They need an RN. All our scrubs are broken, too. I'm not the most hurt person at work. I got to bed at 6PM on Tuesday. The house is a mess, and I don't care. Cats and humans still need feeding.

Prioritise and minimise. The house can wait, cats and humans can't. There are times when I go to bed and sleep for twelve hours if needed. I'm lucky I can do it. But why are so many colleagues being hurt at work?

RR,
Bad luck, really. Not at work mostly. Car crash, gall bladder, tonsils, shoulder surgery, endometriosis, pregnancy, broken toe from falling down stairs at home. That's half our scrub techs, not all completely off work. On the day I broke my arm, one of the sterile processing staff had a seizure and hit her head so hard she needed to be hospitalized. Another SP staff had critical pregnancy issues. One nurse lost her best friend, who died in childbirth. We are all feeling a bit cursed.

I'm down to the least I can do, no question.

Oh gosh! I think that might be called serendipity?

RR,
I believe serendipity has a connotation of good fortune, though. Which this ain't.
