Raw

A cool wet spring is not typical here. A raw wind in May is normal for Boston, not so much here. Mountains got more snow, my garden is saturated. The drought is mitigated for now, a hot dry summer could undo that, and the fall fire season could be enthusiastic. Went out to throw the bin in the compost, and weed a bit, and just wanted back in. Bitter bugger of a day.

Last evening waiting for PT, not mine this time. Leave it at that. All shall be well.

Derecho coming along well, she's a bit of a gym rat, "Duuuude, c'mon, another ten reps!" I have to admit, the progress is worth it. My big temptation is the unintentional wrist flick movements, that feels rather awful. I'll be ready by Tuesday.

I'm glad you're motivated and seeing pt progress. I hope you will be cautious and move slow when you go back to work. What is the equivalent of 'lift with your knees' for your wrist?
It's cool and wet here too. I've been remembering long hot Mays in the past.

I have to wear a splint at work if I'm lifting anything more than 5 lbs. Another evaluation in six weeks, to then lift restrictions. Let pain by my guide is another, the one I'm using at home, where I can just stop. I keep beating at the limitations, gently. The full kettle is only 3lbs, but I can't lift it yet.

Really working the Play-doh.

The wind is raw here too...a good description.

Another you might like. I've just had a tooth extracted...the dentist after the anaesthetic injection was poking around to see if it had worked..."tell me if you can feel it sharp or jaggy" she said..love that...jaggy being worse than sharp

Good to hear that Derecho is improving - and thank you for spelling out all those awful bureaucratic acronyms - I was trying to work out what they were, and goofle wasn't always helpful!

Wishing you full recovery, at the right rate for you...

"Bitter bugger of a day" perfectly describes our weather of late. But I have hope. The Weather Gods say it will soar into the lower 70's tomorrow. Glad to hear your progress is progressing.

gz,

Jaggy, yes, apt. Some of the exercises are indeed, jaggy.

Gentle,
I'm so used to them, between army and nursing, hope I got them all.

Cat,
We tend to be a day behind your weather. There is something about mid 40˚F with wet and wind that is harder to deal with than subzero. Partly because it's hard to dress for properly.
