Drop

We have voted. Drop boxes, not just the post.

Made it to the last summer farmers market. Got beets, and then worried over cooking them. Thought about how I cook potatoes, in water in the microwave. So, in 20 minutes, I had the most tasty, thoroughly cooked beets in yoghurt. I really have to grow beets.

Acupuncturing myself for an incipient migraine.

Cut down the mint and bergamot. Leaving the tall grasses.

We never seem to have beets in the house. I don't know why because I love them.

Cat,

Dylan doesn’t, but I really would like them more often.

We use beets in salad, grated, as well as in stirfries. Have fun growing them, try some yellow as well as red ,pink or striped .I find the white ones insipid. The leaves are good too, small in salads or larger like spinach

Once you got them cooked, peel them - very easy after cooking - toss them in a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper and roastcthem until they start to caramelize, add a dash of balsamic vinegar or lemon juice. I could eat that every day.
