Columbo

Happy Columbo's Day, tomorrow!

Moby sat in the greening clover and grass this morning.

More strawberries growing in the raised bed in front. Poor plants, survived the sad place I'd put them originally, now flourishing since relocating. Amazing how the garden is reviving as the heat abates, tall grasses feathering out, scarlet flax reblooming, even coming up new from seeds dropped months ago.

Viral assault is ebbing, after a drugged night's sleep, with acceptable breathing. Nyquil doesn't have pseudoephedrine, nor diphenhydramine these days, so I added those into myself. Took a while to get a patent nostril, but then it was clear sailing until I woke up to Eleanor pressed up against my back at 0800. Nothing quite like warm fur against a sweaty back. Ugh and cute together.

Wear your grubby trenchcoat! Glad the murk is lifting.

I'm glad you (and the strawberries) are feeling better---it's so awful not to be able to breathe well.

What do you take to get those other meds into your system?

As for ginger brews,
*if* I have the energy (don't always, when sick), I boil up water with grated fresh ginger in it, add lemon, honey, & maybe a sprinkle of cayenne pepper.

Sadly, my raincoat is black, and it was way too warm for it. Did write Happy Columbo's Day on the whiteboard. My surgeon got it.

Fresca,
Took sudafed and benedryl as well. I made up the ginger (powdered) with lemon and honey, sipping it now.

Your Columbus day is my Thanksgiving. I worked as in the support department we have customers outside of Canada. Still, it was a quiet day.

I give thanks that the federal election in Canada is almost over.

As for Columbo, I was always a Matlock fan, myself.

Phil,
Happy Thanksgiving! My Canadian parents didn't celebrate that, for reasons best known to themselves - not a tradition when they were young I was told.

Never watched Matlock. Columbo is, remarkably, fairly watchable today, largely because of Peter Falk, and the guest-star/murderers.
