Exclaim

The wooly was rumpled, making it irresistible to a cat who likes anything lumpy.

And he stayed there.

The heat, a late afternoon wind, with a spark - I'm guessing fireworks, combined to create a fire up in the foothills. The Very Close to the City Foothills. Right above where I work. First fire this year, but given how green it is up there, it won't be the last. Lots of fuel. Lots of idiots with fireworks that they can use until Pioneer Day on the 24th of July here.

If this were better beer, I'd call this a terrible loss. As it is, it's probably for the best.

Slept in, got stuff done, went for a walk.

And we still have another day off!

Oh, look, I must be overjoyed, I used an exclamation point.

RR,
Well, I do generally eschew that punctuation mark.

At least we have plenty of water to put out the fire.

Rou,
Pity the poor limes.

Phil,
Not much, actually. But, um, thanks anyway.
