Counting

I work with a nurse name of Vicky
Whose humor has never been picky
She writes limericks well
She's sassy and swell
Her tongue-sense is really quite tricky.

Hot tea in my mug
Warm bread on my plate
Good hot chili,
Yams a'baking
Snow on the mountains.

Where is my story?
I had it before.
Stuck in the mud,
Without a plot.
What am I writing?

Rain turns into snow
Winter seeps in the corners
Cools the burning pain.

New ukelele
wants me to play it
songs are waiting
fingers itching
tired brain objecting.

Great
Cats
Eat
Apes.

Assuming that cats are the slightest bit interested in the apes around them. They're good for the food and the occasional clumsy fur-stroking, I suppose.

Nice little bonbons these.
A photo of the uke some time?

It's the same tuning (with one octave difference on one string) as the 4 treble strings on a guitar. If D. or someone in your vicinity has a guitar handy, you might be able to tune your uke by ear from that.

Uke photo, mebbe tmrrro.

D has tuners, (note plural.) No prob.
