Titanium

Resplinted, exercise routine in place, Surgeon happy with healing & strength so far. I can get incision wet. Compression bandages on to reduce swelling. Supply person showed me the same plate implanted, with ten, count 'em ten, screws. Exercises as expected, still not too bad. Tired.

Shiny. Titanium.

I think that's the same metal Judy has in her femur.

I've not seen one of those plates before. Do you have to have it forever?

Neat

Impressive. Will it stay inside?
Also congrats on the excellent orogress so far.

Cat,
Titanium and Stainless are most common, although titanium is more common for smaller plates. Lots of biomechanics go into these bits.

Crow,
Definitely a newer design, Specific to this joint and type of break. Hardware comes out occasionally, if it's causing problems. Haven't seen any of this type need removal.

'tis.

Sabine,
That's the plan.

Just looked the company up, slickest website I've ever seen. Not giving them free space here.
