Shrubbery
"Oh, I would never interfere with your stuff."
"On the other hand, it is a tree..."
"What? I'm a cat, it's a tree!"
Later, he gets a couple of ornaments off the bottom branches, but no damage done. Just in time for the Solstice.

Well, of course... after all, he probably assumed it was a new toy just for him right?
That you for making me grin from ear to ear with delight :)
Similar response at daughter's apartment as soon as they set up their tree. Curly gnawed on a lower branch, decided he didn't like the taste of it.
Happy holidays , all of you.
:)
Our cat is not particularly interested in the Christmas Tree. Our eleven month old daughter, on the other hand, can't get enough of pulling ornaments off and stuffing them into her mouth.
I think Moby has his own personal indoor moon in that first pic.
Happy whatsits to you and D.
alembic,
Welcome! It's been a while. Well, yes, it is his apartment, we just live here.

And the grin bounces back.
Crow
He usually shows intermittent interest. It's a silk tree, so maybe the smell just doesn't register.
Phil,
Ha!

It's a reflection with a mirror. Nothing gets him more excited that reflected sunlight moving.
Happy solstice celebrations, all.
Wishing you and yours a safe, happy holiday.
