I was required, when going through stores, to clasp my hands behind my back, so as not to break anything. I had such a desire to touch anything I saw. Only in fabric stores was this rule eased. It became an instinctive gesture of "being good." Came in handy in the Army. Less so in the OR, where, when sterile, the hands are kept always in front when scrubbed in at a sterile field, between navel and nipples, as I tell newbies.
Anna, Yes, yes, I can see it needed to be said. Quite right.
