Had to go and check Christian Science Monitor website there...
CSM had the most thoughtful article about the Duke Lacrosse players, long before they were acquitted. In the same edition - one about an effort to clean up trains in Mumbai. D was doing research at the Mary Baker Eddy Library, when Jill Carroll was abducted, and returned. They went out of their way to support her and her family.
So, you are moved. Your May 23 post was lovely.

Gandhi would probably have had to stretch pretty hard to get up to three possessions. "Let's see: loincloth, bowl, ... um ..."

Hah! I loved this post! My son reads Fortean Time, - in fact I think he subscribes.
A lot of these question things are sooooo bloody stupid. But the answers are often very revealing!
